Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the investment team in screening projects by reading protocol specifications and evaluating the technical frameworks and structures.
• Working closely with technical teams on their crypto-economic model, smart contract security, and other questions that come up around protocols and software
• Analyse on-chain data, market data, and social media data and build models and visualizations that provide intuitive analytics for understanding the market state and support investment decisions as well as strategy/thesis development.
• Build and maintain internal dashboards and/or other internal data libraries which produce actionable inputs for our investment, research, or content needs.
• Explore, source, examine and research early opportunities in existing and emerging ecosystems, through deep research and market mapping;
• Perform data-driven due diligence on investment prospects with the aim of creating conclusive investment recommendations
• Work towards identifying and understanding user behavior and other insights, trends or dynamics within the various ecosystems, narratives, or industry as a whole.
Requirements:
• 1-4 years research experience is preferred;
• Degree in technical areas preferred (engineering, economics, mathematics); with a native understanding of blockchain technology; and experience interpreting technical white papers is a must.
• Robust understanding of computer science, cryptoassets and blockchain;
• Ability to efficiently manipulate, process, and visualise data from large sets of public APIs and databases;
• Ability to aggregate information from a variety of sources including technical repositories and anecdotal feedback from teams, then draw informed conclusions from incomplete information
• Familiarity with Dune Analytics, working knowledge of SQL and Python (or similar statistical programming languages);
• Distinguished verbal communication and interpersonal skills;.
• An ability to work well within a team and be self-guided on a day-to-day basis.
