About the role
We are looking for a PR & Communications Manager who will play a crucial role in the way we portray ourselves externally. It is through our media stories and speaking engagements that we can communicate the benefits of our technology, express our values, and inspire confidence in those that may have a use for our services. It is important that we have a strong storytelling representative to lead these initiatives across Asia and US regions.
As a PR & Communications Manager, you should be an organized and cool-tempered professional who is able to handle a crisis. We expect you to have a creative mind and excellent communication skills. Your goal will be to cultivate a positive company image. If you are also confident in your public speaking and project management abilities, we’d like to meet you.
What you'll be doing
- Developing PR strategies and campaigns
- Build and maintain relationships with regional key media to raise brand awareness and profile of senior management across markets in a fast-paced environment
- Develop and manage internal and external communications strategy around issues and sensitivities, including positioning statements and reputation management
- Support corporate communications, product launches, partnerships, and policy-related communications and initiatives like networking discussions, stakeholder engagements, panel events, award submissions
- Write compelling press releases, media pitches, blog entries, and thought leadership articles
- Organize PR events (e.g. open days, press conferences) and serve as the company’s spokesperson
- Seek out content and partnership opportunities to promote imToken’s thought leadership, including speaking engagements and platforms
- Monitor new legislation and compliance trends, opportunities and stories across the globe in the cryptocurrency sector
- Address inquiries from the media and other parties
- Track media coverage and follow industry trends
- Prepare and submit PR reports
- Develop crisis comms plans, holding statements and scenario planning for potential issues, including litigation, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity/breaches and more
What we look for in you
- You lead by example and are happy to get your hands dirty and ‘get the job done’ yourself when required.
- You are an accomplished communicator, capable of polished original writing, editing, and proofreading.
- 6-10 years in PR agency or in-house PR team with regional tech/startup brand
- University degree in communications, marketing, or journalism
- Proven success with PR campaigns and executive thought leadership
- Existing network/relationships with business, finance, and technology journalists at regional news organizations
- Strong PR and Communications background
- A strong understanding of media and the news cycle with proven success achieving coverage
- Strong organizational skills, results-driven and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask
- Comfortable working in a high-performing and results-driven environment
- Ability to work on a global scale, including the understanding of time zones and global priorities
- Creative thinking and curiosity to push new angles
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Fluent in English
